
As an Associate Google Workspace Administrator, I am responsible for the daily management of our Google Workspace environment, ensuring our team can collaborate and communicate safely and effectively. My capabilities include managing the entire user lifecycle, from creating and provisioning accounts, including automation and third-party IdP integration with tools like SAML SSO and GCDS, to modifying user attributes, handling data transfers, and assigning licenses. I also design and create organizational units (OUs) for hierarchical user management, manage various types of groups such as distribution lists, shared mailboxes (Collaborative Inbox), dynamic groups, and security groups, and handle domain management tasks like adding domains, managing aliases, and configuring MX records for email routing, as well as managing buildings and resources for booking.
I am proficient in configuring core Workspace services to meet our organizational needs. This includes setting up Gmail with appropriate mail routing for scenarios like split and dual delivery, content compliance rules, spam, phishing, and malware settings, and implementing Google-recommended email security practices such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. For Google Drive and Docs, I manage sharing options, Drive trust rules, shared drives, storage quotas, and Drive Labels, and can configure Google Drive for desktop. I also configure Google Calendar by managing resource calendars, booking policies, and sharing permissions, and I can set up and manage Google Meet, Google Chat, and Gemini for Google Workspace, including their respective safety, operational settings, and license assignments. My skills extend to supporting Workspace development by identifying use cases for AppSheet and Apps Script and enabling these tools.
Furthermore, I play a key role in managing data governance and compliance, utilizing Google Vault for eDiscovery and data retention, and creating and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules and Drive trust rules to protect sensitive information. I ensure robust security by enforcing strong password policies, two-step verification (2SV), and context-aware access policies, and I can manage administrative roles, audit security risks using the Security Investigation Tool and security center, and manage third-party application integrations. My responsibilities also cover managing endpoints, including mobile devices with basic or advanced management and Chrome browsers by applying policies and managing extensions. Finally, I am adept at troubleshooting common Workspace issues across all these services by analyzing logs, using diagnostic tools like the Google Admin Toolbox, and leveraging support resources to implement effective solutions.
